Labor

Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.

While in San Diego D was told repeatedly not to jump and splash in the spa. . .and, she decided to continue jumping.  Her cousin told her not to do it again. She responded by saying, "I was just showing you the things I'm not suppose to do."

Love this girl.

I love these guys!

IF . . .

If I put little buns in D's hair it will come out like this (below).

If we cut it she looks like this.

If our cousin comes to town we are so happy!!!!

If we go to the Banana Leaf with my dad and Magdalene we get amazing smoothies and food!

Llama Fest

We heart llamas.  Aren't they adorable!?

When we first arrived at the festival we spent some time in the temple listening to music and stories.  We really enjoyed the beauty and strong sense of community and it was fun for S to hear stories about Rama and Krishna since his dad has read him quite a few already.

Hair

My niece is visiting and her hair is amazing.  I just did a french braid wrapped around her head and it brought back memories of when I used to do her mom's hair.  Love.

Reggie Littlejohn, My New Hero

As I was driving to pick S up from school I was listening to NPR.  Reggie Littlejohn, the president of Women's Rights Without Frontiers was being interviewed about the still current situation in China regarding forced abortions.  She is a powerful voice for women and for humanity.  Please click here to sign a petition to stop forced abortions in China.  There is a 4 minute video that breaks my heart.

This petition is for everyone.

"It doesn’t matter whether you are pro-life or pro-choice on this issue.  No one can support forced abortion, because it is not a choice." -Reggie Littlejohn

We were asked to be part of a project a friend of ours was involved in for one of her classes.  Here are some of the photos.  I think they are petty darn cute.

Stuff to post about

S with his cousin and Grandma Pat at is Birthday Party

S ties D's shoes

D is awesome

Her family photo with her "real" baby (totally her idea)

S and D at Kung Fu

We found these legs in our bag or carrots. The kids put barbie clothes on them but unfortunately I didn't take a picture. Dahlia kept taking bites out of the "knee" sections and I kept telling her to wait so that we could show S and her dad.
