His best mediums are plastic bags, clothespins and hangers but he has also started working with pot lids, other kitchen stuff, rags and random cords.
Which of Soren's works do you prefer? I think my favorite is the 3rd photo that he did tonight when we got home. One of his other hobbies is putting toys (or whatever for that matter) in a plastic bag and then into another and then another. . .Then he'll close it with a clothespin or have it closed somehow and then hang the bag somewhere in the house.

Fun creations. It loks like something Becky would have made. Fun times.
You should take him to the Glasgow School of Art. P.S. I'm serious.
I like the first!
I am practical and like the way he has made use of the kitchen cupboard handles in the first photo !
He is a "special" child that one.
Jack's artistic medium usually goes on his body. Atleast Soren is thinking outside of himself :)
They are all masterful, but like you, I like the cord work.
:)
I love this!! Rose also practices these kind of mediums- I like to think they are geniuses in the making!
Cammie,
Soren is quite artistic. I am not surprised with his genetics! Thanks for the book recommendations. I think I am going to read 7 years in Tibet first. I have read Siddhartha and I love it! I think I want to read it again.
That last one makes me pause and think about the universe. what a little artistic genius you have there!
We miss you guys!
Hi Cammie,
You blog is interesting and I'm here to make an unusual request-if you will be a part of my research study!
I’m a Ph.D. student at Glasgow University trying to find out how people across cultures (U.K. and India) approach life-work, love, leisure, what is important to them and the different things that make means happiness to them.
But why would you want to do this? Well for one, you will be part of an important study that eventually aims to find application in making people happy :) Two, you get to talk about yourself for two whole hours while somebody is really paying attention! Three, when you come visiting India, you can stay in my home in Mumbai and I will take you around. Promise! And four, I’ll buy you coffee and snacks over the session (s) :)
I need about 10-12 people and each is therefore very crucial for the study.
So, if you want to chat about your life and have someone pay attention, please mail me at mamthakarollil[at]gmail[.]com.
Eagerly,
Mamtha.
Happy Thanksgiving! I love you and I miss you! Hope you had a good non-holiday : ) xo
Cammie...where are you? Watching "Gummy Bears" again?
wow. those are very great installations. i like the hanger one a lot. and i also love the gummy bears...song.
The first one is my fav - do you know how hard it is to fill a plastic bag and twist it around a hanger? I love the subjects of your posts!
Charla and Jared,
Gummy Bears. . . bouncing here and there and everywhere. High adventures that beyond compare. We are the Gummy Bears. . . --such a great song.
The show is like Robin Hood meets Care Bears. Magical and mythical-- where all of your dreams of bouncing come true.
. . .and thanks for your professional comments, Jared. Your blog is really cool too.
I love this post! I can't believe the things these kids come up with! I like #3 too. My sons favorite thing to do is put his toys in the dishwasher (or pile them on top of the newborn). I couldn't close the dishwasher today and realized there was a plastic skunk in the way. Soren is such a cute boy!
Thanks for sharing.
