Dahlia is our little darling who loves to nurse--I forgot how much work it is. She sleeps well at night for which I am very grateful and smiles randomly. I can tell her eyes are starting to focus more and more.

2 kids are a lot more work than one. Who would have thought? Soren is adjusting well most of the time but we've had some hard moments. . . I've had mommy guilt that I can't be there for him like I was able to before. Moms with more than one child--Did you feel guilty as well? And, let me just say that I have ample respect for you moms with 3 plus kids! I think my blogging is going to slow down drastically until I get into a routine.

This is the vacuum decorated by Soren for Christmas. He told me we had a new vacuum and showed me his lovely creation.

My mom has been here helping out and it's been so wonderful. She adores Dahlia and all her grandchildren. She has recently returned from Rotterdam where she stayed and helped out with Charla and she's been helping Bridget with her kids as well. She made it home just in time for Dahlia's birth (the day before)! It's been a vacation of sorts for her but not a luxurious, relaxing, kick your heals up in the sun vacation. . . I think she misses the the sun too much to settle down here. I think I do too! Thanks mom for all your help!

I've got some cute videos coming. . .

i have so many fears/concerns for adding another child to this little family. it so perfect just the three of us and our ava needs attention. i'm glad i have blogging friends that i can peak into their lives and see how they make it all happen :)
your daughter is so darling. i love this newborn stage and this time around i'll remember how fast it goes and relish in it!

oh my gosh...the mommy guilt! i found the change from 1 to 2 the hardest of all. your just not used to sharing your time. i had a really hard time with nathan when kristen came along. it's definately something to get used to and get them to be ok with sharing you. it won't last forever and you'll find you're groove. you'll be great and don't be so hard on yourself. having 3 &4 kids for sure gets busier but emotionally there is not that transition. you've already done it with #2.

so excited you've finally shared some photos of your little flower. i can see so much of Soren in her!

ps. there is a pkg. coming your way, sent it a week ago, so hopefully it will be there soon!

What a beautiful little baby!

We all have that mommy guilt. I think the transition from 1 to 2 kids was the hardest. Going from 2 to 3 kids was a piece of cake. It will get easier. I used to have my toddler hold a book and sit next to me when I nursed the baby and I would read with him. Or sometimes we would just chat. I liked breastfeeding because it forced me to sit still and relax with my kids even when there was a big to do list.

Congrats again on your beautiful daughter.

It is all hard. Moms and guilt is synonymous. We just have to do our best and that is enough. It has to be! Your pictures are beautiful. I am so glad you have one of each!

Hi Grandma Darla! Dahlia is absolutely beautiful. Love the pics with the hat. You have such a great family! I will be asking for advice if we decide to have one more baby.... we are still undecided.

Going to 2 was so hard for me. Especially with the 3 year age gap. I forgot how much work a baby was! Aviendha was a really hard baby too so I was constantly passing her off to other people to hold so that I could steal a minute with Jackson. (I grabbed Jason in the hospital in Utah and made him hold her for a few minutes!) I was totally shameless about it. I've heard that the transition to 3 is easier but I'm not willing to test that!
