Delle Foto: Part Two

Here are some of the professional photos of the last job I did (these photos have a bit of a better quality than the first ones). The idea was to keep the shapes in the same place while creating body shaping around them. Kind of tricky at times but a good challenge.

I'm busy dancing again after a nice break in August and I'm so excited about this next piece that will be performed at this art venue called thearches. It will be performed in 2 weeks and my dad may be coming to visit at the same time. The choreographer is working with 4 musicians and an artists that specializes in mobiles. I'm really excited about that b/c I love mobiles and the delicate balance involved. The dance will address the nature of disaster and the areas between that and stillness. Soren and I will also be performing "Mother May I" again at the beginning of October with a great choreographer --Natasha Gilmore. This is the piece about the state of asylume seekers and refugees in Glasgow and their struggles. It is nice to revisit it and already know the material and just tidy it up and make the changes needed.

The next two weeks are going to be BUSY and I also start teaching my dance classes. I'll be breathing well in October. . . and Soren has this nighttime cough and it's wearing on us and we both got sore throats (Jason and I). He is mostly fine during the day but wakes at night coughing. Today he had some wonderful, all good, vegetable soup that Jason made. In fact, we all ate it. I'm going to call it the "Use all the Vegetables You Have in the House Soup" and it is so great for when you are feeling under the weather and need to get well soon (it is basically a Minestrone). Works every time. I promise.

But we are hanging in there. The photos above are of Soren feeding the Scart Cat--something he thought up and it has become a family favorite.

So sorry you are sick. Those nighttime coughs are hard. K had one for 6 month straight.
The dance pictures are great. I am glad you are getting to do something you love so much.

Love the dance stuff, I miss it. Do you have a kitty? I had an invisable one as a child.

We don't have a cat but there is a black one in the area that we see once in a while. That is so cute, Steph!

Liz, that is such a long time! What did you do?

The Scart Cat lives in my closet! Didn't you know? Soren does.

You should write an epic poem about the Scart Cat. Before Homer gets to it.

good idea! I taught him to say "scart cats unite" and it is so funny.

Nathan started in with the coughing at night thing around that age. It was blamed on allergies and took him around 5 years + to grow out of it! They also watched him for asthma and treated it as such on occasion. Not to scare ya or anything, but we have experience! This could come and go for years.

Or it could just be nothing :)

I love the photos Cammie!! I love that I can see you in them! I think I also remember that vegetable soup, we seemed to make that all the time when we were living together!

Oh ya, Rose also gets the cough, early onstage asthma? who knows we notice it gets better in different environments, it all started here in Buffalo- go figure. Apparently she is supposed to out grow it, does he wheez when he coughs? It's only bad if they look like their their body is working hard to get air. It's so hard to tell and trust what your doctor says- I hate giving Rose treatments but sometimes she really needs them and it does help. Ok I am totally going on and on. I'm sure Soren is just fine.

Michelle,

He has had a wheezy cough two times-ish(in the last month) but I think it was b/c he was woken up in the middle of the night coughing and then we tried to give him some syrup--and it made him really upset and one thing led to another. But, I'll keep you posted. We had a really good night last night so I'm hoping it was just a cough that has finally finished.
